The Green House and Festive Dorset
December 8th - 9am to 5pm
December 8th is an official day of yuletide revelry at Gold Hill Organic Farm in Child Okeford and we cordially invite you to come and join us for this first ever 'Festive Dorset' event. The farmyard will be transformed into an array of Christmas delights and you will be able to shop, eat, make decorations and view the 'mouth-watering' paintings of The Arts Stable's latest exhibition safe in the knowledge that your friends will still be consulting their Christmas lists long after your presents are wrapped and ready to go. What can we offer here at the farm?
The Green House Shop
The Green House shop will be selling Christmas hampers, food and non-food gifts and running tasting sessions, with staff on-hand to answer your questions and offer advice. If it's the 'big shop' you're planning for extra guests at Christmas our staff can give you all the information you need from arranging your home delivery drop-off to how and when to order the turkey.
Flora Organica
During our Festive Dorset celebrations Irene Kohler at Flora Organica will be selling her beautiful handmade Christmas decorations and giving junior shoppers the chance to make and take home decorations of their own.
Meg Morton Interiors
Meg Morton Interiors, the stylish 'country living' shop also based at Gold Hill, will be open for the festivities. The shop will be filled with their hand-painted collections of interior accessories along with lamps, soft furnishings, furniture and gifts. Along with a new range of French homeware and unique gift ideas from Denmark and America they will have the traditional festive wreaths, garlands and decorations
The Farmyard Café
The Farmyard Café will be located on the newly opened second floor at The Green House serving tea, coffee, hot cordials and cakes and such tummy-warming fayre as stew made with prime Gold Hill Organic Farm beef.
Rushworks
Anna Lewington will be opening her 'Rushworks' studio for you to purchase unusual rush gifts and decorations.
The Art Stable
The Art Stable's newest exhibition will be available to view throughout the day. The exhibition, in a collaboration between Anna del Conte, noted author and the world's leading authority on Italian food and Val Archer, one of Britain's leading still life painters, has resulted in an artistic first: a series of paintings and a book entitled 'The Painter, The Cook and The Art of Cucina.' Other pictures from previous exhibitions will also be on view.
Join us at Gold Hill Organic Farm for some seasonal shopping with a difference.
