Furnicare was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit charity collecting unwanted furniture, domestic appliances and household items. We have two branches based in Yeovil and Chard. Our collections and client base covers South Somerset, West Dorset, North East Dorset and East Devon . We save 300 tonnes of furniture from going into landfill each year.

Clients do need to have a current membership card before they can buy any furniture.

Our latest branch will be opening on Monday 10th May in the former premises of Dodge Antiques in Southgate Rd , Wincanton (tel. 01963 34565)

People on low incomes living locally (South Somerset, Mendip, North Dorset, West Dorset and Wiltshire) who wish to become members beforehand are welcome to apply to Peter Bagg, SSVCA Support Officer, at Southgate Rd on Mondays or Tuesdays at any time between 10.00am and 4.00pm.  

Proof of income will be required.
