All meetings are held in the Village Hall unless otherwise stated .

2011

Wednesday, 27th July

Summer Social evening by kind permission of Mr and Mrs T Hooker in the garden at Cloverfield, Child Okeford. Contributions to the buffet gratefully received.

The Village Show, Saturday, 13th August at 2.30pm

Show registration Thursday 11th August 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Location 41, Homfield, Child Okeford. Please remember to keep a copy of your list of entries plus class numbers.

Saturday 13th August - 9.00 to 10.45am Please bring your exhibits to the hall and place each behind its Entry Card which will be ready on the table plus Class number.

Show Opens 2.30pm

Exhibits not removed after prize giving will be sold at 4.00pm. Many thanks.

Wednesday 7th September - 7.30pm

Martin Young 'Sedums & Stone Crops, Echinacea and Rudbeckia - Two groups of bee plants'.

Wednesday 5th October - 7.30pm

Neil Lovesey 'Problem of gardening on Clay or Chalk'.

Wednesday 2nd November - 7.30pm

Stephen Griffith. 'Travels in Chile & Argentina looking for trees & flowering plants'.

Friday 2nd December - 7.00pm

Christmas Social Evening. Fun and games, a slide show, a free glass of wine and sometimes a surprise! Contributions of Seasonal Food for the buffet always welcome.

2012

Saturday 14th January - 7.00pm for 7.30pm

The Annual Dinner. New members welcome.

Wednesday 1st February 2.30pm

Sue Bowser 'The Dove & the Wild Goose, and including the wild flowers of Iona'.

Wednesday 7th March - 7.30pm

Diana Guy, BBC Gardener of the Year winner, Subject to be decided.

Wednesday 4th April - 7.30pm

The Annual General Meeting followed by Chris Evans ' Fresh ideas for Summer Bedding, Containers & Hanging Baskets'.

Also at this meeting the Mini Spring Show will take place to be judged by the visiting speaker.

Wednesday 2nd May - 7.30pm

Bryan Pincher 'Solitary Bees and Wasps: Garden pollinators & preditors'.
